Our Expertise

Our integrative treatment team specializes in guiding individuals through their first year of sobriety. Most of our clients have attended other rehabilitation programs in their pasts, but have failed to maintain lasting sobriety. Over the last five years, we have found that individuals with a history of chronic relapse can achieve success if they engage our process.

At La Jolla Recovery we love meeting people who are frustrated, and confused, as to why rehabilitation programs have not worked for them. Almost every success story begins with this question, and the willingness to uncover the answer.

Our Approach

Once a person understands why they have been resistant to the recovery process, they gain an opportunity to change their belief systems, behavioral patterns, and complete the work necessary to achieve lasting recovery.

Almost every drug addict or alcoholic has felt hopeless -- especially after graduating a rehabilitation program and relapsing within a month. At our La Jolla rehabilitation center, you will learn why other recovery programs have not worked for you in the past. Together, we will design a customized “Program” directed towards you personal needs, and based upon 12-Step principles. Once your “Program” has been designed, a system of accountability will be secured and weekly progress reports will be assessed in order to help you achieve your goals.

Your first phone call to La Jolla Recovery will begin the “Discovery” process. During this first contact, our experienced intake counselors will help you understand your options. We invite you to ask as many questions as you wish regarding the wide variety of customizable services that we provide. If you decide that we may have a solution to your problem, we can schedule a private tour where you and your loved ones may view our San Diego Drug Treatment facilities and meet our treatment team.

Scheduling a Private Tour is easy and discrete. Our caring staff will set you at ease once you arrive, and we always make sure to budget enough time for you to have all of your questions addressed. This personalized meeting provides an excellent opportunity for our team to learn about your specific situation, and for you to learn more about us. Our goal during this meeting is to match our resources (internal and external) with your individual needs.

Your first day at La Jolla Recovery will begin with a quick review of our welcome package. You will receive a weekly schedule, 12-Step meeting handbook, and other important materials. Your goal on this day is to relax and get adjusted to your new sober living environment.

Once you have settled in you will begin working with our treatment team to discover the root causes of your self-sabotaging behavior. Many of our clients have said that their initial “Discovery Sessions” brought them tremendous relief because they could finally understand the nature of their condition.

PROGRAM DESIGN

Once the “Discovery” phase has been completed, we start the “Program Design” process. In this phase, our treatment team works in partnership with you to create a practical plan for your recovery. Each member of our team brings a different area of expertise as they offer their unique perspectives to the challenge at hand. The diversity among our seasoned staff members ensures that your “Program” will address your situation from all angles in a balanced and integrative way.

Your “Program” will evolve as you continue on your path towards lasting recovery. Our treatment team will monitor your progress and make subtle changes to your routine as you become ready to handle more independence and responsibility. At La Jolla Recovery, you will gain the experience and skills necessary to reclaim your life as a sober and vibrant member of society.

ACCOUNTABILITY

Once the “Program Design” phase has been completed, our case managers will help you stay accountable in regards to the goals that we have set together. You will have the opportunity to share your triumphs and challenges with your peers in the La Jolla Recovery community. Our clients greatly benefit from the strength and support offered by our community members and alumni network.

Alumni Support

When you join La Jolla Recovery, you not only have our treatment team and current residents for support, but also our passionate, service-oriented alumni network. We have hundreds of alumni members, and most of them live in San Diego and Los Angeles. We are easily able to link new residents with mentors that share similar interests, because our Southern California network has tremendous diversity. We have served clients from almost all professions and walks of life. If you have ever attended 12-Step meetings in the San Diego or Los Angeles areas, you have probably met someone who has graduated from La Jolla Recovery.
